Learning Support Assistant

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team to work with teachers to support teaching and learning, providing general and specific assistance to pupils and staff under the direction, guidance and direct supervision of the classroom teacher.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement planned learning activities/teacher programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils' responses as appropriate
- Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
- Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate
- Assist with the implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs under the supervision and guidance of teaching staff
- Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs
Pay Range
SCP 7 - 11 £23,222.16 - £24,751.66 (FTE: £26,406 - £28,142)
37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Qualifications and Skills
- GCSE Maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalent
- TA2 qualification or equivalent or relevant experience
- Relevant educational experience supporting a child/children in a school setting and the relevant age range
- Ability to work with an individual child or with a group
