Trainee Teaching Assistant
Location: Taunton and surrounding areas
Pay: £93 - £100 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: September 2026

Connex Education are currently recruiting motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Taunton and nearby areas from September 2026. Opportunities are available on a flexible day-to-day supply basis, alongside short-term and long-term placements.
As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery
- Work with children individually and in small groups
- Help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Encourage pupils' academic, social and emotional development

Qualifications and Requirements
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people
- Are interested in building a career within education
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Are adaptable, reliable and enthusiastic
- Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Have experience working with children (desirable but not essential)
- Hold a DBS on the updated service or are willing to apply for one
