National Dance Company Wales are looking to widen our pool of teachers for the dancers' daily Company Class. We want to provide opportunities for experienced teachers of any style, as well as supporting artists to develop their class at professional level.
This opportunity is for artists and facilitators who have a connection to Wales.
We are particularly keen to engage with people who are underrepresented in the arts sector, and from those who experience discrimination.
If you are interested, please fill out the form below to introduce yourselves and your practice to us. Please note that this is an open expression of interest with no closing date, so we'll review submissions regularly and reach out for further discussion when opportunities become available.
If you have any questions please email
Please note: This is an open call, so we'll be contacting teachers when opportunities arise to book in work. Please don't worry if you don't hear from us right away - we want to meet as many new teachers as possible, and our needs for different practices change seasonally.
About Company Class with NDCWales
National Dance Company Wales is a professional level touring contemporary dance company who employ both full-time and freelance dancers. Company Class takes places 10am-11.30am Monday - Friday in one of our studios at the Dance House in Cardiff Bay. Class is usually held for between 7-9 Company dancers. We often also open our classes to between 2-4 guests. The Company undergoes regular Contemporary, Ballet, and Yoga training, and supplements this with other class styles and dance practices from guest teachers.
About the Dance House
The Dance House is part of the Wales Millennium Centre, based in the heart of Cardiff Bay, and has a specialised dance studio and theatre. Both the studio theatre and mirrored ballet studio are 10x10m and benefit from harlequin dance carpet over fully sprung wooden flooring.
