Special Needs Class Teacher - September Start (Permanent, Pay to Scale) Fulltime Are you a passionate and resilient teacher looking to make a real difference? We are seeking a Special Needs Class Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive team, working with children who require a highly tailored, therapeutic approach to learning.
The Role - Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching to small groups of children (typically 3-7 pupils)
- Plan and adapt learning to meet a wide range of special educational needs, including SEMH and ASC
- Create a safe, structured, and therapeutic classroom environment that promotes emotional and academic progress
- Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants and wider professionals
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with statutory requirements
- Contribute to a creative, child-centred curriculum that supports curiosity and development
What We're Looking For - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching children with additional needs, particularly SEMH and/or autism
- Strong classroom management skills with a calm, consistent approach
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with hard-to-reach children
- A reflective, resilient, and adaptable teaching style
- Commitment to safeguarding and child-centred practice
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
