Overview
NHSE is recruiting an enthusiastic individual to develop, facilitate, quality assure and support the training and upskilling of Dental Care Professionals (DCPs), particularly Dental Hygienists and Therapists, across Yorkshire and the Humber. The role is part time, 7 hours per week, and may include some Saturdays for pre booked courses.
Key Responsibilities
- Co ordinate, plan, commission, promote and quality manage needs led education for the DCP workforce, in line with the annual plan and COPDEND and NHSE quality frameworks.
- Evaluate training outcomes and report on quality metrics.
- Engage with dental care professionals across Yorkshire and the Humber, motivating them to participate in learning and upskilling.
- Work closely with the Lead DCP Tutor and other DCP Tutors to deliver education and with the Associate Postgraduate Dental Dean and Dentist Tutors to plan and deliver needs led education for the wider dental and medical workforce.
- Collaborate with the team to commission, promote and quality manage education initiatives.
Person Specification Qualifications
- Registration with the General Dental Council as a Dental Care Professional.
Knowledge and Experience
- Workforce development knowledge and experience.
- Experience in communications and stakeholder management.

Additional Information
Applicants from within the NHS will be offered a secondment; agreement must be obtained from the employer prior to submitting an application. The role is part time and requires some flexibility for Saturday courses.
