Cover Supervisor - Secondary School
The Education Specialists is searching for a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a well established secondary school in Stockport for September 2026, rated "Good" by Ofsted.
This is a full time, long term position covering the remainder of the academic year, providing classroom cover across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).

Role Requirements
- Previous experience working with young people (school based desirable)
- Confident managing a classroom independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and adaptable approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil well being
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through The Education Specialists
- Teaching roles require Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
What You Will Do
- Deliver pre planned lessons across a range of subjects
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour
- Support a positive and structured learning environment
- Build strong relationships with pupils and staff
