London Faculty Manager (Development) Overview

Currently FI has an excellent and growing reputation within the corporate and professional firms' market, and this needs to grow to embrace new apprenticeship programmes and new clients.
Reporting to the Head of London Tutors and in addition to line management responsibilities, this role has specific responsibility for faculty training and development, and manages tutor recruitment, onboarding, induction, and provides KPI reporting to leadership.
Key responsibilities of Faculty Manager
- Line management of Tutor Line Managers
- Attendance and input tutor management meetings
- Provide KPI reporting to the Head of London Tutors
- Support and cover for other faculty manager
- Deputising for the Head of London Tutors
- Supporting Head of London Tutors in oversight of faculty operations
- Delivery of teaching days
Development specialism
- Ensure high-quality, consistent, and regulation compliant delivery of the educational model, in consultation with the Education team and Head of London Tutors.
- Drive continuous improvement in programme delivery using KPI data (e.g. pass rates, student feedback), collaborating with the tutor management team and central programme leads to implement targeted training.
- Lead faculty training and development activities in London, including staff meetings, team days, ensuring alignment with the central Education team's training plan and regulatory requirements.
- Manage freelancer participation in training and faculty meetings to maintain compliance with FI policies.
- Manage the recruitment pipeline and onboarding process for permanent staff and freelancers, ensuring alignment with targets, budget, and compliance standards.
- Oversee the design and delivery of the induction programme for all new tutors, including ownership of the tutor manual, weekly emails, and mentor allocation in liaison with the tutor management team.
Skills and Experience Essential
- Experience of the delivery of professional or higher education within employer-led programmes in the London Faculty
- Experience of London tutor team line management
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A positive and solution focused attitude to work
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
Desirable
- Experience of working in cross-functional project teams with a variety of commercial and educational staff
- Capable of thriving in both independent and team-oriented work environments
- Sound working knowledge of all FI programmes
- Good understanding of the regulatory impact on faculty operations
- Experience of creating and delivering tutor training
- Working knowledge of FI's strategic aims and related KPIs
