About the role
Are you a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner looking for a full time role in a supportive Day Nursery environment? A welcoming Day Nursery in Oldbury is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join their team on a long term basis. This full time role is to start as soon as possible and will continue until July, with the potential to extend through to September. This Nursery Practitioner role is based within a vibrant nursery setting, supporting young children at a crucial stage of their early development. You will work closely with the nursery team to provide a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment, helping children to develop socially, emotionally, and academically through a mix of play based and structured activities. The nursery is looking for a warm, reliable, and proactive Nursery Practitioner with strong EYFS knowledge, previous hands on nursery experience, and a genuine passion for supporting children in their early years.
Responsibilities
- Supporting children through play based and structured learning activities
- Assisting with the delivery of the EYFS curriculum
- Supporting children's personal, social, and emotional development
- Encouraging communication, independence, and positive behaviour
- Supporting daily routines such as snack time, personal care, and outdoor play
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure a consistent approach to learning and care
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a Nursery, or Early Years setting
- A relevant Early Years qualification, either level 2 or level 3
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- A good understanding of the EYFS framework
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A reliable and professional attitude
