GCSE English Teacher - Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible
Duties as GCSE English Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs
- Differentiate teaching strategies to meet individual learning requirements
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted interventions
- Work closely with support staff and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans
- Promote emotional resilience and positive behaviour through consistent strategies
- Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure the welfare of all pupils
Ideal GCSE English Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching English at secondary level
- Strong understanding of SEMH needs and effective strategies for engagement
- Ability to build positive relationships and inspire confidence in pupils
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to supporting diverse needs
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
