What you'll be doing:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and maximise pupil achievement
- Support school science strategy, values, and policies
- Lead and manage science staff and resources
- Deliver a broad, engaging, and inclusive curriculum
- Monitor and support pupil progress and attainment
- Model excellent classroom practice
- Provide clear assessment and feedback to pupils and parents
- Promote a positive team culture and collaboration
- Ensure effective communication with parents and staff
- Manage budget, resources, and departmental development
What we're looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A qualification in a science-related subject
- A qualification in SEND education is desirable
- Experience of teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
- Experience of working with children and young people with SEND and ASC
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching methods
