A specialist SEN school in Sunderland is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to join their experienced team.
This provision supports pupils with a variety of complex needs including SEMH, Autism, speech and language difficulties and learning disabilities. The school promotes a holistic and nurturing approach to education, placing pupil wellbeing at the centre of everything they do.
Key Duties
- Planning and delivering personalised learning experiences
- Supporting emotional and social development
- Managing behaviour positively and consistently
- Creating a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom
- Supporting pupils with transitions and routines
- Working collaboratively with families and professionals
The successful applicant will
- Hold QTS or equivalent
- Have experience within SEN or specialist education
- Be nurturing, patient and resilient
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable pupils

All pay rates quoted will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
