About the Role
I am actively looking for a driven and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a SEN school in North Somerset. The role involves working on a 1:1 basis with SEN students who may have ADHD, ASC, learning difficulties, challenging behaviours, SEMH or physical disabilities. A successful candidate will support KS1 and KS2 students, providing encouragement, behaviour management and ensuring engagement in lessons. Outstanding communication and people skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in collaboration with the class teachers and other teaching assistants
- Adopt the school's values and contribute toward the school's principles and culture
- Work 1:1 or with small groups of children
- Be passionate about the work and want the best for the children
- Provide a high standard of work, resulting in the best education for the children
- Be a strong, authoritative figure who positively manages challenging behaviour
- Maintain a great standard of education for yourself
