Salary/Benefits
Salary is between £33,048 and £38,169 per annum, DOE and qualifications. 45 days annual leave plus bank holidays, teacher's pension, retail and leisure discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses. Note - Salary and annual leave entitlement is for that of a Qualified Lecturer.

About the role
We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Science to join our Science department at The Bedford College Group.
As a Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Teaching, Learning & Student Achievement - Deliver high quality teaching, assessment and verification across Levels 2-5, supporting learners to achieve success and reach their full potential.
- Curriculum Planning & Innovative Delivery - Develop up to date schemes of work and engaging learning materials, contributing proactively to curriculum development and innovative teaching practice.
- Assessment, Progress & Quality Assurance - Monitor and track learner progress, meet awarding body standards, complete verification and contribute to internal quality assurance and self assessment processes.
- Learner Support, Behaviour & Enrichment - Support individual learner needs, promote positive behaviour and enhance the student experience through employer links, work experience and enrichment opportunities.
- Professional Practice, Administration & Compliance - Maintain accurate records, meet deadlines, contribute to marketing and recruitment activities, and uphold safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and CPD requirements.
About you
- Qualifications & Scientific Expertise - Bachelor's degree in a science related subject with GCSE English and maths, supported by vocational industry experience and commitment to achieving a teaching qualification.
- Teaching, Learning & Student Experience - Ability to deliver high quality teaching and support positive learner outcomes, creating inclusive and engaging learning environments that meet diverse student needs.
- Sector Knowledge & Continuous Development - Up to date knowledge of developments in the science field, with a strong commitment to CPD and maintaining professional expertise.
- Communication, Organisation & Collaboration - Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, able to meet deadlines, build effective cross college relationships and contribute positively to team success.
