A welcoming and friendly primary school in Oldbury is seeking a dedicated Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their EYFS team on a part time, morning only basis. This role is Monday to Friday, 9:00am-1:00pm, starting this month and running until the end of the academic year.
This Nursery Teaching Assistant role is based within the nursery setting, supporting young children during a crucial stage of their development. You will work closely with the class teacher and EYFS team to provide a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment, helping children to develop socially, emotionally, and academically through play based learning.
The school is looking for a warm, reliable, and proactive Nursery Teaching Assistant with strong EYFS knowledge and a genuine passion for early years education.
Responsibilities
- Supporting children in the nursery setting through play based and structured activities.
- Assisting with the delivery of the EYFS curriculum.
- Supporting children's personal, social, and emotional development.
- Encouraging communication, independence, and positive behaviour.
- Supporting routines such as snack time, transitions, and outdoor learning.
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team.
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience working within an EYFS or nursery setting (essential).
- A relevant EYFS qualification.
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
- A good understanding of the EYFS framework.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A reliable and professional attitude.
