Role Summary
This role is ideal for a children's nurse passionate about supporting students. We seek an experienced Children's Nurse who is highly motivated, well organised, and has excellent communication skills. You will join a future focused, innovative team dedicated to student learning and teaching.
You must hold active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Children's Nurse. Prior teaching experience is desirable; we also welcome clinicians transitioning into education.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver content as part of a teaching team within the established programme.
- Teach in various settings-from small group tutorials to large lectures-ensuring delivery meets learning objectives.
- Create teaching materials, methods, and approaches, incorporating agreed practices where appropriate.
- Supervise students, advise on study skills, and assist with learning challenges.
- Contribute to assessment design, mark assignments, set examination questions, and provide constructive feedback.
- Reflect on teaching design and delivery to improve performance, using feedback.
- Supervise student projects under guidance.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to explain specialist material.
- Demonstrate interpersonal skills and liaise with colleagues and students.
- Have prior undergraduate teaching experience (desirable).
- Have supervisory experience (desirable).
