We are seeking a passionate and driven Qualified English Teacher (QTS) to join a well regarded secondary school in Oxford from September 2026. This is a long term opportunity, ideal for a teacher who is committed to delivering engaging and high quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable).

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience advantageous).
- Plan, prepare, and assess student work effectively.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to departmental planning and school activities where appropriate.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- A degree in English or a related subject.
- Proven experience teaching English at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience teaching GCSE English Language & Literature with strong results.
- A track record of raising attainment and supporting student progress.
- KS5 (A Level) teaching experience.
- Familiarity with current exam board specifications (AQA, Edexcel, OCR).
