About the Role
As a Special Needs Nurture Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and empowering students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Individualised Learning: develop and implement personalized educational plans that address the unique needs and abilities of each student.
- Engaging Lessons: create and deliver dynamic, tailored lessons that inspire curiosity and accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Classroom Environment: establish a safe, supportive, and inclusive space that encourages emotional growth and academic progress.
- Behavioural Support: implement effective strategies to manage behavioural challenges, fostering positive interactions and social skills.
- Collaboration: partner with teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive, cohesive support for students.
- Parent Communication: maintain open and empathetic communication with parents and guardians, offering regular updates on student progress and well being.
- Professional Development: stay abreast of best practices in SEND education, incorporating innovative methods to meet student needs.

Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
- A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) in special education is preferred.
- Previous experience working with students with Autism, SEMH, and complex needs, ideally in a special needs school setting.
- Strong knowledge of SEND strategies, including Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management techniques.
