Benefits: Competitive holiday, excellent pension, fantastic onsite facilities
We're looking for a passionate, inspiring SEND / LLDD Teacher to join our Lifeskills faculty at Banbury College. Our team supports learners who face barriers to education, including Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them build confidence, independence and the skills they need to thrive in adulthood.
You will teach across two key programmes:
Tier 3: Skills for Independence and Work
This programme supports learners with EHCPs to develop employability and independence, alongside confidence and the key attributes needed for work. Learners build literacy, numeracy and digital skills through a blend of classroom learning and practical, real-world experiences, including:
- Work placements
- Project-based learning
Tier 2: Pathway to Independence and Supported Work
Designed for learners with moderate to severe learning difficulties, this programme develops essential skills for independent living, employability and community participation. Learning is strongly experiential, delivered both in the classroom and in the local community, and aligned with Preparing for Adulthood outcomes, centred on each learner's aspirations.
Both programmes include English and Maths, with learners working from Pre-Entry to GCSE levels.
This is a permanent, full-time role based at Banbury and Bicester College.
