Pay: Paid to scale (£153 - £238 per day, equivalent to MPS/UPS depending on experience)

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Qualified Maths Teacher (QTS) to join a well-regarded secondary school in Oxford from September 2026. This is a long-term opportunity, ideal for a teacher who is committed to delivering engaging, high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable).
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive and forward-thinking department focused on raising attainment and fostering a love of mathematics.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience advantageous)
- Plan, prepare, and assess student work effectively
- Support students of all abilities to develop confidence and problem-solving skills
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Contribute to departmental planning and wider school life
Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
- A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
- Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for numeracy
- Excellent classroom management skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience teaching GCSE Maths with a strong track record of results
- KS5 (A-Level) teaching experience
- Ability to stretch higher-attaining students while supporting those who need additional help
- Familiarity with current exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR)
