Springfield Junior School are seeking to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the team.

Springfield Junior School is part of the Children's Endeavour Trust which totals eight schools across Stowmarket and Ipswich. This is an exciting time to join our Trust as the schools work collaboratively together to achieve excellence and improve outcomes for our children.
Springfield is a popular junior school to the west of the town centre teaching children from age 7 to 11. This is a three-form entry school with strong community support, a supportive and hardworking staff team as well as friendly and welcoming children. We deliver an ambitious and rigorous curriculum through CUSP as well as being an OPAL school to develop the quality of outdoor play, achieving the gold standard. We were recently graded 'Good' in all areas by Ofsted (March 2025). We are now looking for a dynamic and motivated team player to join our friendly school.

About the role
As the HLTA under the professional direction and supervision of the class teacher or subject leader you will:
- plan, prepare and deliver lessons across the school
- mark and assess learning in line with school feedback, marking and assessment procedures
- record and report on effort, progress and attainment to class teachers and subject leaders
- ensure good behaviour of the pupils, following the school's expectations and policy
- follow school procedures for collection of pupils at the end of the school day.
