About us
Butlers Court is situated in the Old Town of Beaconsfield and provides a wonderful environment in which children can grow to be self confident and independent individuals. We are proud of our children who approach learning with enthusiasm and open, enquiring minds. Recognising that each one has unique talents and strengths, we aim, through our rich, extensive curriculum, to provide maximum opportunities for every child to find success.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who will support teaching and learning by implementing effective strategies that complement the work of the teacher and promote the achievement of all pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Where necessary, the role may also involve providing 1:1 support for an individual child to help them access learning, develop social interaction skills, and meet personal care needs.
About you
- Experience working in a school environment or other educational setting
- Experience working with children / young people
- Experience planning and delivering learning activities
Equality & Diversity
Butlers Court School is committed to creating a diverse workforce. We'll consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to sex, race, religion, belief, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, pregnancy, maternity, age, disability, marriage or civil partnership.
Health, Safety and Safeguarding
At Butlers Court School the health, safety and well being of every child is our top priority. We expect all staff, governors and volunteers to share this commitment to safeguarding our pupils.
We listen to our pupils and take seriously what they tell us. All school staff are trained in Child Protection, and children are made aware of the adults they can talk to if they have any concerns. Staff are trained to look out for signs of physical/emotional harm or neglect and are required to report these to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
The procedures we follow have been laid down by the Buckinghamshire Area Safeguarding Team and the school has adopted a Child Protection Policy in line with this, for the safety of all. On rare occasions our concern about a child may mean that we have to consult other agencies. We will ensure that all concerns are discussed with parent/carers first, before any referrals are made, unless we believe that such a move may be contrary to a child's welfare.
