The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in keeping learning on track in the absence of the class teacher. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering pre planned lessons and ensuring students remain engaged.
- Managing classroom behaviour and creating a calm, focused learning environment.
- Supporting students with their work where needed.
- Taking accurate registers and providing clear handover notes for teaching staff.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff.
Requirements:
- Be confident managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have a genuine passion for supporting young people in education.
- Be able to provide suitable references, hold a valid Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply), and have the right to work in the UK.
- All candidates must have a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before starting work.
