We are looking for a Senior Progress Tutor to join our team starting 17th August 2026!
Joining us as a Senior Progress Tutor, you will support the Learner Engagement Manager in promoting positive student behaviour, removing barriers to learning and ensuring the effective implementation of the College's Acceptable Behaviour Policy. You will work collaboratively with curriculum teams and Progress Tutors to deliver high-quality tutorials that align with college strategies and enhance students' personal development. A key focus of the role is to provide proactive interventions, particularly for students on lower-level study programmes, to improve attendance, engagement and overall student outcomes, while contributing to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
As a proactive and student focused professional, you will lead on behaviour management processes, including preparations for disciplinary meetings and responses to complex incidents involving behaviours. You will play an integral role in supporting Learner Voice activities, coordinating cross college initiatives and working closely with curriculum and student services teams to support at risk learners. With strong collaboration and organisational skills, you will contribute to enrolment, progression and student support processes, promote inclusion and wellbeing, and ensure effective systems are in place to monitor student progress, attendance and disciplinary outcomes.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual with a background in education or a related field, ideally with a degree and teaching or training qualification. You will have experience managing student behaviour and supporting learners with a range of needs, alongside a strong understanding of student needs. With the ability to support staff, work collaboratively with colleagues and external partner and effectively manage competing priorities, you will demonstrate excellent communication, organisation and problem solving skills, while remaining resilient and committed to improving student outcomes.
