Secondary English Teacher Required for School in Bradford

About the role
This is a full-time role in which you will be expected to deliver well-planned lessons alongside strong behaviour management. The school's vision is to develop well-rounded citizens through a balanced and ambitious curriculum and requires a dynamic teacher who can think on their feet and tailor lessons to the needs of all pupils.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of raising attainment and improving exam outcomes across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to inspire a love of English both inside and outside the classroom. Experience teaching A-Level English Language or Literature is highly desirable.
This role is due to start in September 2026 on a 1-year contract, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate
- Extensive experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and GCSE
- Ability to teach English Literature or English Language up to KS5 preferred
- Proven track record of improving student progress and exam results
- Strong teaching background with excellent subject knowledge
- Available for interview and observation
- Committed and proactive in engaging and inspiring students
- Passionate about delivering creative and inclusive lessons
