What You Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role you will need the following criteria:
Essential
- Qualified teacher status (QTS)
- Recent and successful primary teaching experience across primary age range, minimum of 5 years
- Commitment to Church of England education and living the school's Christian vision
- Ability to manage behaviour consistently ensuring inclusive practice
- Clear commitment to inclusion and high expectations for all pupils
- Effective communication skills
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the National curriculum and its effective dissemination to pupils
- Experience teaching children who are autistic or have social communication and interaction needs
- Establishing outstanding classroom practice of their own, with excellent monitoring and assessment techniques
- Good understanding of strengths and needs of pupils who are neuro diverse, especially autistic pupils, and the strategies and adaptations helpful in supporting these pupils within a mainstream school
- Strong knowledge of improvement strategies for pupil attainment
- Effective management of people, both within school and in the wider community
Desirable
- Teaching experience across multiple year groups.
- Qualifications in or attended courses for supporting children with ASD
- Relevant CPD especially in respect of ASD
- Knowledge of Assessment and tracking development.
