Overview
A specialist SEND school in Bromley is seeking experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team on a part-time, long term basis. The school operates Monday to Thursday (8 am-3 pm) and Friday (8 am-1:30 pm), supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs in a nurturing and structured learning environment.
Responsibilities
Support pupils across all areas of learning, development, and wellbeing, including assisting with classroom activities, promoting engagement, and supporting positive behaviour in line with individual education plans.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a SEND school or SEND support setting
- Confidence supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
- Willingness to support pupils across all age groups and abilities
- Patience, resilience, and commitment to creating a positive learning environment
- Valid Child & Adult DBS registered on the Update Service
Work Conditions
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8 am-3 pm; Friday 8 am-1:30 pm. Start: ASAP. Pay: £14.25 per hour (PAYE).
This role is temporary unless otherwise stated. The position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
