Art Teacher (SEND) Envision Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and creative Art Teacher (SEND) to join an inclusive independent school setting. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, Monday to Friday, with an immediate start available.
This role is ideal for a passionate educator who is committed to supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), using creative and engaging approaches to help every learner access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
Requirements and Skills
- Ability to plan and deliver tailored, accessible and engaging art lessons for students with SEND
- Strong understanding of individual education plans (IEPs) and education, health and care plans (EHCPs)
- Experience supporting students with a range of needs including SEMH and additional learning difficulties
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies, curriculum content, and resources to meet individual needs
- Strong collaboration skills when working with teaching assistants, therapists, and families
- Commitment to supporting academic, social, emotional, and communication development
- Ability to create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
- QTS preferred, though experienced unqualified teachers will also be considered

- Previous experience working with children or young people in a professional setting
- Experience supporting additional needs (desirable but not essential)

- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils' learning and development
Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
