Make a Real Difference - Supporting Young People with SEMH Needs Teaching Personnel is recruiting for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist provision in Bristol. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them overcome barriers and succeed both academically and personally.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about youth work, behaviour support, mental health, or alternative education.
Your Role - Support students with SEMH needs 1:1 and in small groups
- Help deliver tailored learning and behaviour support plans
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
- Support emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour
- Work alongside teachers and pastoral teams to maintain a safe learning environment
- Encourage confidence, resilience, and social development

What We're Looking For - Experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, sports coaching, etc.)
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification OR willingness to work towards this with support
- Calm, patient, and resilient personality
- Strong behaviour management and communication skillsA genuine passion for helping vulnerable young people succeed
Essential Requirements - Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
