Assistant Headteacher (SENCO)
We are seeking an exceptional and dedicated SENCo to join our leadership team at Royton & Crompton E-ACT Academy. This role leads and manages SEND provision across the academy, ensuring high quality support for all pupils with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage SEND provision across the academy, ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.
- Develop and implement effective SEND strategies to support student progress and inclusion.
- Coordinate assessment, identification, and provision for pupils with additional needs.
- Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Oversee EHCP processes, reviews, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor and track the progress of SEND pupils, implementing targeted interventions.
Pay range: Salary L11-L16 - £66,368.00 - £75,049.00
Qualifications and Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo), or willingness to achieve.
- Degree or relevant qualification in education or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation.
- Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting.
- Excellent leadership, organisation, and strategic planning skills.
