SEN PSHE Teacher - Wisbech
Permanent Position Full Time (40 hours per week)
Salary: £33,696 - £44,304
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate SEN PSHE Teacher to join an independent specialist education setting based in Wisbech on a permanent basis.

About the Role
As an SEN PSHE Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils' personal, social, emotional, health, and economic development. You will help students build confidence, resilience, communication skills, and positive relationships while preparing them for adulthood and life beyond education.
The role will involve delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that support wellbeing, safeguarding awareness, emotional regulation, healthy relationships, personal safety, and social responsibility within a specialist SEN environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated PSHE lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
- Support pupils with SEND, SEMH, and additional behavioural needs
- Promote emotional wellbeing, resilience, personal development, and positive social skills
- Deliver learning around relationships, health, wellbeing, personal safety, and life skills
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to encourage engagement and progress
- Use assessment data to monitor pupil development and inform planning
- Promote social, emotional, and academic development through therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches
- Maintain high expectations around behaviour, attendance, and learning
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and specialist staff to provide effective support
- Deliver cross-curricular learning where required
Requirements
- QTS/QTLS qualification
- Specialism or experience teaching PSHE
- Minimum 2 years' teaching experience preferred
- Experience working with pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour
- Strong understanding of SEN education, behaviour management, safeguarding, and differentiated learning
- Knowledge of Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) desirable
- Ability to build positive relationships and engage vulnerable learners
- Resilient, adaptable, and committed to safeguarding and professional standards
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Driver ideal due to location
