We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of History to join our fantastic team at MEA Central. This is a permanent post, to start in September 2026, Teaching terms MPS-UPS.
We're looking for:
- A qualified and experienced Teacher of History, eligible to work in the UK with successful experience in the 11-16 phase. You will need to demonstrate thorough subject knowledge and an understanding of current curriculum developments.
- You will have the ability to deliver quality teaching that drives achievement and inspires a love of learning.
- You will be able to demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils, as well as being passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people. As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers.
- You will be responsible for improving the standards of learning and raising levels of student achievement for all students and expected to fulfil the professional responsibilities common to all classroom teachers.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that students experience an educational programme that is personalised to their needs, developing their skills and abilities.
- Actively promote relevant History subject-related activities to promote students' enthusiasm and interest.
- Work collaboratively within the History subject team to reflect the whole school vision.
- Foster a positive working environment in the History curriculum area that supports students' learning.
- Play a part in the pastoral development of students, particularly acting as a form tutor for a group of students.
- Play an active part in the provision of a range of enrichment activities and extra-curricular activities across the curriculum area.
