About the Role
To specialise in leading and delivering Maths up to GCSE level to pupils aged 8-13 with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition), emotional difficulties and additional needs.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher that has experience teaching pupils with ASC and additional behavioural needs to join the current specialist team. As part of a nurturing and innovative team, your responsibilities will include:
- Teaching and supporting students with a range of special educational needs (SEN).
- Teach pupils aged 8-13.
- Delivering engaging and tailored Maths lessons to individual learning needs.
- Setting, marking and providing constructive feedback on assignments, homework, and assessments.
- Supporting pupils in gaining a strong command of spoken and written English, enabling them to communicate confidently and effectively.
Ideal Candidate
- Passionate about working with students with SEND needs.
- Specialism in teaching Maths is essential.
- Experienced - ideally with at least 2 years in a SEND environment or similar setting supporting pupils with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and additional needs. Including mainstream schools.
- Qualified - QTS is essential.
- Understands EHCPs and autism-informed practice.
- Calm, organised and passionate about teaching and making a difference.
