Choice Teachers are currently working with a secondary school in Willesden who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Support Officer, Deputy SENDCo, or Pastoral Support Officer to join their team on a permanent basis from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Behaviour Mentor, Inclusion Officer, SEND Practitioner, or aspiring SENDCo to support students with additional needs, behaviour challenges, and pastoral support within a supportive and inclusive school environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, supporting SEND provision, and helping students overcome barriers to learning across KS3-KS5.
About the Role - Behaviour Support Officer / Deputy SENDCo
- Support students with behavioural, emotional and additional learning needs
- Work closely with the SENDCo and pastoral team to support student progress
- Deliver targeted interventions and behaviour support strategies
- Promote positive behaviour and student engagement across the school
- Support EHCP reviews, SEND documentation and student monitoring
- Build positive relationships with students, parents and external agencies
- Support attendance, wellbeing and safeguarding procedures where required
- Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working within a secondary school, SEND, or pastoral setting
- Have strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Be confident supporting students with SEND, SEMH or behavioural needs
- Have experience as a Behaviour Mentor, Pastoral Officer, Inclusion Support Worker, or similar role
- Be organised, proactive and able to work as part of a team
- Have a passion for supporting vulnerable students and improving outcomes
- Hold a relevant qualification or experience within education or SEND (desirable)
