Responsibilities
- Child Development: Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring they feel safe and happy.
- Activities: Plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate activities based on the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework.
- Key Person: Act as a Key Person for a group of children, maintaining up-to-date learning journals and tracking progress.
- Safeguarding: Uphold rigorous safeguarding and health & safety policies to ensure a secure environment.
- Communication: Build positive relationships with parents and carers, providing daily feedback on their child's wellbeing.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with the Room Leader and other staff to maintain a smooth daily routine.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualification: Essential minimum Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ/CACHE Diploma in Childcare or Early Years.
- Experience: Previous experience working in a nursery, preschool, or school setting is preferred.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of Ofsted regulations, the EYFS, and Safeguarding procedures.
- Attributes: Energetic, reliable, and committed to a career in childcare.
- Checks: An enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
