A secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to become part of a supportive and forward thinking Design and Technology department. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to develop practical skills, creativity, and confidence within a positive learning environment.
Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high quality Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Prepare students for practical and theory based assessments
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor and assess student progress effectively
- Contribute to curriculum planning and department development
- Promote high standards of behaviour, achievement, and participation
The successful candidate will:
- Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have strong subject knowledge within Food Technology or Design and Technology
- Demonstrate effective classroom management and communication skills
- Be organised, proactive, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning
- Have the ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities
