About the role
As a SEN Tutor/Teaching Assistant working with pupils with Autism, you will be responsible for supporting them in the classroom and beyond. You will need to be prepared for every day to be a different and unique challenge. This could include aspects such as active outside learning, 1:1 work, emotional support and even the opportunity to take pupils outside of school on trips.
About the school
This school is a dedicated Alternative Provision SEN school with a specialism in Autism who works with children who have struggled in mainstream. They offer a specialised curriculum to each individual pupil to best suit their needs and ensure they are getting the most out of each day. This school offers regular training sessions to staff to help develop a positive team ethos and always increasing knowledge and awareness around a variety of subjects.
Requirements
- Knowledge or experience working with children or young people with additional needs
- A genuine passion to help others
- Patience and resilience
- Hold a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to process one with us
- Previous experience working with children or young people
Safeguarding
Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
Salary and Benefits
£415 to £700 per week (dependent on experience, training or qualifications)
