Kings Mill School, Victoria Road, Driffield, YO25 6UG
Required to start September 2026. We are looking for an experienced, caring, hardworking individual who would enjoy working as part of a dedicated team with pupils with specific and profound multiple learning difficulties. Good skills required in team working, an understanding of young people, an ability to assess pupils and a flexible approach to work as some activities are off site.
The successful applicant would be working in one of our primary classes. The candidate may be required to work in other departments across Kings Mill sites in the future.
Informal visits are encouraged and can be arranged by prior appointment.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a self declaration of their criminal record or information that would make them unsuitable to work with children. An online search will be conducted.
You must be able to explain any gaps in your employment/education history and you must have a legal right to work in the UK. Appointments will be subject to satisfactory disclosure checks at enhanced level by the Disclosure and Barring Service as well as other background checks including professional references.
We comply with all the principles of safer recruitment as outlined in the DfE document Keeping Children Safe in Education.
Our commitment to safeguarding can be found in our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy, available on our website.
This post requires an enhanced DBS clearance check.
