Year 2 Teaching Assistant
Milk Education are working with a primary school in Hindley (WN2) who are seeking a full-time Year 2 Teaching Assistant to work 1-2-1 with a child in Year 2 who has Autism.
This role is starting immediately and will be a temporary, short-term role until May half-term initially, this role has the opportunity to be extended after the May half-term break.
For this Year 2 Teaching Assistant role the School are looking for someone who is patient, nurturing and accommodating to the child's learning needs for this Year 2 Teaching Assistant position. The hours of work are 08:30am- 15:30pm, Monday to Friday.
This Year 2 Teaching Assistant role will involve keeping the child on task and ensuring that the work they doing is being done to a good standard. You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and ensure the child's needs are being met. In this Year 2 Teaching Assistant role you will provide a patient and nurturing learning environment for the child.
Teaching Assistant - Role & Responsibilities:
- Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
- Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
- Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
- Deliver catch-up sessions
Teaching Assistant Level - Non-negotiables:
- Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years
- Must have a passion for education
- Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
- Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
- Must be reliable and punctual
