Role Overview
Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) is a distinctive, unique institution rooted in the Liverpool City Region with a global presence. Within the School of Law and Justice Studies of the Faculty of Society and Culture, we are looking to appoint three Probation Practitioner Apprenticeship Tutor Coaches for a fixed term of 2 years to support the delivery of the Probation Practitioner Apprenticeship Programme.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with apprentices and their employers to provide the coaching support required for successful completion of the programme.
- Work with key stakeholders to integrate academic study with the specific responsibilities of the apprentices' work role.
- Travel regularly to apprentices' places of employment across the East and West Midlands, North East, Yorkshire and the Humber, North West, and Greater Manchester to support qualification achievement.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience working in the Probation Service.
- Understanding of the criminal justice sector and evidence of past collaboration with stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of the requirements of an apprenticeship and apprenticeship standards.
