Salary: From £23,638.00 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our specialist education team supporting children and young people with autism and additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, resilient, and committed to helping students access learning in a meaningful and empowering way.
In this role, you will work closely with teachers, tutors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality, person centred support - ensuring every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support teachers to deliver engaging, high quality lessons and provide 1:1 and small group support
- Help create stimulating, structured learning environments tailored to students with autism
- Contribute to planning and reviewing key student documents (e.g. IEPs, behaviour plans, risk assessments)
- Promote students' academic, social and emotional development, encouraging independence and self regulation
- Support morning routines, personal care (where needed) and overall student wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, care staff and families to ensure consistent support
- Maintain accurate records and follow all safeguarding, behaviour and health & safety procedures
- Participate in training, meetings and school development activities to support continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND (essential)
- A genuine passion for supporting students with autism and additional needs
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students and staff
- Emotional resilience and confidence in managing challenging behaviour
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A team player who is proactive, reliable, and reflective (essential)
