Overview
Hyde Park Primary School is looking to appoint a passionate, hardworking and driven Early Years Apprentice to join their outstanding team. This vacancy is being managed by Plymouth Teachers and School Alliance.
Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of teachers and senior staff within the nursery to provide safe, high-quality education and care for young children.
- Assist in establishing the aims, objectives, and school policies under the supervision of the headteacher.
- Carry out the professional duties of a Teaching Assistant as required.
- Take responsibility for child protection issues as appropriate and promote and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.
- Be committed and driven to achieve the best from every child and contribute as an active member of the school community.
- Support in the role as directed by school staff and the apprenticeship provider.
- This role will involve intimate care.
Training and Qualifications
- Level 3 Early Years Educator
- Behaviours, Skills & Knowledge
- Functional Skills in Maths and English at Level 2 (if not exempt through prior qualifications)
- Regular visits at the workplace from a designated assessor to observe progress and competence in the role
- Training days provided by Plymouth Teachers and School Alliance
