TEACHING AND SCHOLARSHIP LECTURER
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Teaching and Scholarship Lecturer who is a enthusiastic Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join the MB ChB Community Team, supporting high-quality undergraduate medical education across primary care settings in the North-West within a dynamic and inclusive environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Develop and deliver teaching and learning activities and curriculum improvement to support and enhance community education within the MB ChB Programme, ensuring that resources align to Programme objectives. This may include mandatory GP and community placements or student selected project placements, as directed by your line manager;
- Contribute to the provision of emergency/annual leave cover for small group teaching, including Year 3 Clinical Debrief, Year 5 Advanced Clinical Debrief, or Years 1 and 2 Early Clinical Debrief (ECD) group teaching;
- Contribute to the training of newly appointed Lecturers, GP tutors and CPS as required by your line manager
- Participate in Programme assessment activities and deliver constructive feedback to learners. Support question writing, emendation, examining and benchmarking activities;

About You

Essential Criteria:
- A suitably qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner with a current or recent practice background in a healthcare setting.
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Explorer or equivalent applications, Zoom).
- Be collegiate and work to enhance the experience for students throughout the Programme, by improving the quality of community placements, student projects, and GP teaching, through the sharing and implementation of good practice.
Desirable Criteria:
- Postgraduate qualification in Healthcare Education (PGCert, Diploma, MSc, or PhD) or equivalent.
- Experience of involvement in curriculum design, delivery, and evaluation.
- Record of publication and presentation of scholarly activities.
