Position Overview
Teaching Assistant - Part time, Monday to Friday 09 00, 13 30, Level 2B (Grade 5)
Salary is quoted as full time equivalent; the part time salary will be paid on a pro rata basis.
This role supports children with Special Educational Needs (SEND) and early years experience in a primary school setting.
Key Responsibilities
Assist teachers and support children with SEND and early years needs, facilitating classroom activities and providing one to one support as required.
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or above qualification - appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
Essential Experience
- Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age
- Experience of working in a relevant classroom or service environment
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEND or challenging behaviour
- Experience of working with EYFS pupils
