Secondary Maths Teacher - September Start
The Education Specialists is looking for a flexible and confident Secondary Maths Teacher to provide cover in a well regarded secondary school in Stockport, rated 'Good' by Ofsted. This full time, long term position starts in September and involves delivering lessons across a range of subjects at Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). The school has a strong behaviour policy and a supportive senior leadership team, making it an excellent environment for a teacher looking for a consistent role in Stockport.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre planned lessons across a range of subject areas at KS3 and KS4.
- Adapt teaching to suit different classroom environments.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.
- Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task.
- Provide feedback to the teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Equivalent qualification is acceptable.
- Experience teaching across KS3 and KS4.
- Ability to deliver lessons across a range of subjects.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Flexible and adaptable teaching approach.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
- Enhanced DBS on the updated service or willingness to apply through The Education Specialists.
