We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive school in Abbots Langley, working with students in Key Stage 5. The role will involve delivering personalised support to pupils with SEND, enabling them to reach their academic goals and develop important life skills.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, with an immediate start available.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience working with children or young people in the UK.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
- A calm, caring, and proactive approach to promoting students' learning and overall development.

The Role of a Special Needs Teaching Assistant:
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs.
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Help ensure that every student feels supported and encouraged both in the classroom and around the school.
- Assist with classroom management and daily routines, helping to create a calm and structured setting.
- Play a key role in fostering an atmosphere where all pupils can develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
Requirements:
- Available Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm.
- Hold a valid DBS, or be willing to apply for one.
- Experience working with children who have special educational needs.
- Live in or be able to commute easily to the Abbots Langley area.
