We are seeking a Year 1, Teaching Assistant to work 1-to-1 in a mainstream primary school setting in Erdington. The student you will be supporting is accessing the mainstream classroom and has a lot of academic potential; they require a committed, 1-to-1 Teaching Assistant who has experience working with young people with SEND needs, either from education or from transferrable experience from residential, support or care backgrounds.
Whilst in role, you will have the full support of the class teacher and the brilliant SENCo who will be able to talk you through their current planned interventions and support packages.
- This role is working Monday to Friday, 08:30 until 15:30 during term time only.
- This role will be starting immediately for a minimum period ending July 2026 but likely will be extended moving forward as the child progresses through school.
- You will be paid on a daily rate basis starting from £93 per day (PAYE).
- You will need to have full UK right to work & an enhanced DBS which is on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
