Contract term: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours over 5 days
Location: Hybrid - 3 days office-based (Ocean Park House, Cardiff and other ACT centres as required) and 2 days home working.
Salary: Grade 10 £40,596 rising to £44,163 per annum
Please note: this role is expected to be offered at the starting salary within the band.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Curriculum Development Manager to lead and support the Curriculum Development Team across ACT’s JGW+, Apprenticeships, Schools and Commercial provision.
In this role, you will oversee the development and enhancement of high-quality, engaging and innovative curriculum content that supports learner success and reflects current educational, digital and industry practices. You will work collaboratively with delivery teams and stakeholders across the organisation to ensure curriculum resources are creative, inclusive, compliant and aligned to ACT standards and Welsh Government requirements.
You will play a key role in driving innovation across curriculum design, including the use of digital learning tools, eLearning platforms and emerging technologies such as AI. Alongside managing curriculum development projects, you will lead and support the Curriculum Development Team to ensure projects are delivered effectively, deadlines are met, and delivery teams are fully supported with the implementation of new materials and resources.
This is a hybrid role based at Ocean Park House, Cardiff and other ACT centres as required, reporting to the Head of Skills & Curriculum Development.
ACT is committed to promoting the Welsh language for both staff and learners, and whilst it is not considered essential criteria, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role.
What you’ll do:
· Lead and manage the Curriculum Development Team across multiple provisions
· Oversee the design, development and enhancement of engaging curriculum resources
· Support innovative approaches to teaching, learning and assessment
· Manage curriculum development projects, timelines and quality standards
· Promote the effective use of digital learning tools, eLearning platforms and AI technologies
· Work collaboratively with delivery teams to identify curriculum needs and resource gaps
· Ensure curriculum content reflects wellbeing, Welsh, ALN, FREDIE, sustainability and digital priorities
· Support the rollout and implementation of new curriculum resources across ACT
· Monitor team performance, staff development and wellbeing
· Produce management reports and provide regular updates to senior leaders
· Contribute to quality improvement and continuous development activity across the organisation.

What we need from you:
· Experience managing a team within an educational or training environment
· Experience leading projects and working to deadlines
· Experience creating engaging learning materials for post-16 or adult learners
· Experience using eLearning and digital content creation tools
· Knowledge of emerging technologies and AI within learning and development
· Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder engagement skills
· A collaborative and solution-focused approach
· Good IT, literacy and numeracy skills
· Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
