Walsall Council seeks an Early Years Teacher Advisor to lead and support the development of quality early years education across the borough, with a focus on narrowing educational gaps and promoting school readiness.
As an Early Years Teacher Advisor you will strengthen early childhood development and educational outcomes for children in Walsall. Working collaboratively with schools, settings, and family hubs you will ensure high quality provision and support for early years practitioners, driving improvement, analysing data, and providing targeted support to ensure every child receives an excellent start in their educational journey.
Responsibilities
- Deliver support and guidance to early years practitioners and settings in the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Analyse provision and data to identify areas for improvement and develop evidence based interventions.
- Work collaboratively with schools, settings and family hubs to promote school readiness and narrow early learning gaps.
- Provide high quality training and development for staff in early years education.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status with a formal teaching qualification.
- Experience in a senior school role, leading and managing EYFS delivery.
All staff must meet a mandatory enhanced DBS clearance. Applicants must disclose any overseas employment and provide the required overseas criminal record certificates or statements of good conduct. The role requires accurate spoken English in accordance with the Government's Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty.
