Brighton College is seeking to appoint a part time (0.4-0.6 FTE) Teacher of Geography on a fixed term contract for one year, starting in January 2027 and ending in December 2027.
The Department
The Geography Department is a thriving and highly successful department at the College, comprising eight teachers and educating around 550 pupils from Year 9 to Upper Sixth. The subject consistently produces excellent outcomes at both GCSE and A level, with pupils following Edexcel A GCSE and AQA A level specifications. A level results are strong, with 50-60 % of the cohort attaining A and 85-95 % achieving A or A. GCSE pupils typically gain grades 9-8 and 9-7, making the department one of the College's top performing departments.
