About this opportunity
The role is based at Carlisle Library and is a sessional, zero hour position. As a Teaching Assistant you will support and inspire adult learners across a range of courses, including GCSE and Functional Skills Mathematics and English, ESOL, employability and LLDD.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers and support learners on a 1:1 basis in classroom sessions.
- Prepare and develop learning resources for a variety of activities.
- Teach and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning styles and needs.
- Cover daytime and evening adult learning classes as required.
Qualifications
- Experienced Teaching Assistant with a proven track record.
- Knowledge of preparing and developing resources for learning activities.
- Ability to support learners with a range of abilities from absolute beginner to intermediate.
- Positive, flexible and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
